Biography:

John Anderson originally from Duluth, MN, attended Muscatine Community College from 1995-97 and was chosen for the J.C. All-Star game in ’96. John left Muscatine to attended Briar Cliff College in Sioux City, IA. There he received All-Conference, All-Region, and All-American honors and was also voted Section Player-of-the-Year. Anderson also received Academic All-American honors at Briar Cliff College.

After college, Anderson played in the Frontier League for two years for the Evansville Otters and was voted to the leagues 2001 All-Star Game at the shortstop position. The next season he played for the Duboise County Dragons, also with the Frontier League.

In the summer of 2002 Anderson began the season with the Sioux Falls Canaries and was then traded to Gary Railcats both which belong to the Northern League. During that season, he was 6th in the league in hits with 113 and 17th in batting average at .298 for the year.
Anderson has been an assistant as USF for four years and works with players on every facet of the game.
